I met this amazing woman when she attended
her NLP Practitioner program and was inspired by her. She
gave 100% in developing her skills and was totally going for
it. During one of the breaks she shared with me that she was
trying to write her life story. So I suggested she stop ‘trying’
and just do it. When only a couple of months later Latika
asked me to read her book I was honoured and intrigued. I
am a curious person curious of people and enjoy stories and
metaphors… and what a treat this book is! I couldn’t
put it down…
I wonder why you have picked up this book. Fate? Destiny?
Boredom? Curiosity? Have you ever stopped and wondered how
life is different for other people compared to your own experience
of it? Imagine what it would be like to grow up in a different
country, in a different culture and lifestyle to anything
you know? This book is an Indian woman’s adventure.
This is the life story of a woman who learns the lessons
of life. Some of them the hard way and others in wonderful
moments of clarity. Her childhood installs her beliefs and
as she grows into an adult, wife and mother she seeks to learn
who she really is.
As an Expat, working and living in a foreign country, is
it common to wonder about the differences of people? Deep
down we are the same. Only our experiences are different.
Ultimately we all have the same issues. Our story just becomes
how we package it. As Latika shares her journey you can identify
with your own learnings.
Latika has a great style of writing. I love her use of language,
great metaphors and at times I really felt as if I was there
with her, enjoying the ups and downs of her adventure. Other
than those must have bathroom breaks and making a cup of coffee,
I was totally captured. I could relate to more than I thought
possible. After I had finished I stopped and thought about
who I was being. Who am I really? What is it that I am searching
for that I already have? What more will complete me? And of
course – I found some answers of my own.
So as you read this book, prepare to be intrigued. You will
find more of you than you think.
And if you choose to not continue, then you will be left
wondering.
I am a coach. My job is to hear other people’s stories
about how their life isn’t perfect yet. I assist them
in taking action to get the life they want and deserve. I
was recently talking to a book coach (or book midwife as she
likes to be known as). She believes that there is a book in
everyone. That got me wondering… what is my story? This
author has shown me the possibility. And I wonder what yours
is?
Thanks Latika – your story has inspired me to be more
of me and to only seek more what will add icing to my cake.
